so I think I'm going to minor in german. There are a few things I would love to minor in, and a few would require similar amounts of coursework... astronomy would require "exploring the universe", "intro to astrophysics", and any prerequisites... chemistry would require no additional coursework (so I might double minor with that)... music would require me auditioning for the music program, and then I'd have to take a test to make sure I still know the theory I learned at whitewater, and I'd have to take music society and culture, history of western music, a piano class (and the one I've taken wouldn't count), and 4 credits of applied music (I think that's lessons)... german would require 1004, 3011, and I think 4 other classes. All the other ones that interest me take way more than those... I think music would be too much work than I wanna put into that... and chemistry is a gimme... so german or astronomy, and I really like both... but I think I'd rather get a language than another science. So I should be taking 1004 in the fall :) Hopefully that'll work out.

I have another interview on thursday. This one is for the greenhouses in st paul. I really hope one of these places will hire me. The one I had on monday went okay, I guess I don't know how to read what the guy was thinking. I just need out of target...

we applied for a place on 5th and 5th this week... my lease here ends oct 1, and the lease there starts sept 1... so I need to find out if I can work something out. I can't afford double rent, that's for sure, and I don't want to have erica and sarah pay extra.

I can't believe band starts in two weeks. I should probably practice my trumpet, since I don't actually know how to play mellophone... oh and I need to get stamps tomorrow so I can mail in my check! ugh, I can't believe I've had to wait so long to send that. oh, this also means I have to pay a deposit for renting the mellophone... oh man. we'll see what happens. maybe I'll go to spat camp as a mello on the 23rd, and if I don't feel comfortable with the mellie, I'll go back to alto... but I really don't want to have to do that. I wish I'd had a mellophone all summer to practice on. This will be an interesting season, that's all I can say for sure.
